60 years of NTX at GESIPA®: 2016 GESIPA® has advanced its manual blind rivet setting tools NTX/NTX-F as well as its blind rivet nut setting tool GBM 10. As from now the NTX- and GBM 10- manual setting tools are upgraded with new softgrip-sleeves which allow a simple and proof riveting.

In 1956, only one year after the foundation of Gesipa Blindniettechnik GmbH, the first manual blind rivet setting tool was launched. The manual blind rivet setting tool, called 'NT I' was protected by patent by Dr. Hans-Georg Biermann, founder of GESIPA®.
During the following 5 years the rivet machine 'NT I' has been developed - following manual rivet setting tools were the 'NT II' to 'NT IV'. After that the manual blind rivet setting tool was renamed to 'NTX'. To GESIPA's 50th jubilee the NTX was even produced in the anniversary colour gold.

As an enhancement GESIPA® also produced the manual setting tool NTX-F next to the NTX. In contrast to the NTX, the NTX-F is equipped with an opening spring for automatic ejection of the mandrel. Furthermore an intermediate lever system reduces the force required and dampens the tear-off effect.
