My current position: Manufacturing and Automatic Tools Engineer
What are your daily activities in this position?
In my position as Manufacturing and Automatic Tools Engineer, I develop, design and optimise mechatronic production systems. I supervise projects for these production systems and also projects for assembly lines.
Furthermore, an important task in my position is the development and series support of automated blind rivet processing systems, so that everything runs smoothly. I am also very busy analysing and optimising processes in the area of equipment production and mechanical engineering, so that we can constantly improve.
Can you involve your personal interests in your job?
GESIPA® is a company that produces and sells fasteners and related setting tools. This makes you assume that the scope of application and thus the sector you are working in are relatively small. However, this turns out to be wrong: Blind rivet technology has a lot of related subtopics and is thus involved in many different fields. To come back to your question: I would answer it with "yes". The main customer of the company is the automotive industry, and since I'm privately interested in cars and everything that has to do with them, I can use my personal interests also in my job.
